The distillery is named after the legendary pirate Klaus Störtebeker, reflecting the region's maritime heritage. Owned by Störtebeker Brennerei GmbH, it has quickly gained recognition in the whisky world despite its relatively young age. With a production capacity that allows for the creation of nine distinct expressions, Störtebeker focuses on crafting single malt whiskies aged between 3 and 8 years.
