Speyburn Distillery is situated in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, and was founded in 1897 by John Hopkins. The distillery has remained operational since its inception and is currently owned by Inver House Distillers Ltd. Speyburn has a rich history and is known for its commitment to traditional whisky-making methods, which have been passed down through generations. With an annual production capacity of approximately 4,000,000 liters, Speyburn utilizes a combination of large stills and fermenters to create its distinctive single malt whisky. The distillery features one large pot still of 17,297 liters and two additional stills of 13,160 liters each. The whisky produced exhibits a sweet and fruity character, with notes of citrus, vanilla, and spices on the nose. The palate reveals layers of caramel, fruit, and spices, culminating in a finish that is sweet with hints of oak, sherry, and fruit.
