Scapa

Scapa Distillery is located on the Orkney Islands in Scotland, making it one of the northernmost distilleries in the country. Founded in 1885, it has a rich history that reflects the unique character of its surroundings. Currently owned by Pernod Ricard, Scapa has maintained its traditional methods while adapting to modern production standards, ensuring a continuous output of quality whisky. With an annual production capacity of 1,000,000 liters, Scapa utilizes eight fermenters, each with a capacity of 44,000 liters, alongside a 4-ton mashtun. The distillery is known for its distinctive Lomond still, which contributes to its signature style. Scapa whiskies are characterized by their sweet and fruity notes, complemented by spices and maritime influences.
