Mackmyra Distillery is located in the scenic Islands region of the USA. Founded in 1999, it began as a project by a group of friends who wanted to produce a distinctly Swedish whisky. After ceasing production at the original site in 2011, the distillery transitioned to a new facility known as Mackmyra Gravity, which has continued to uphold the distillery's commitment to quality and innovation. The distillery is currently owned by Mackmyra Svensk Whisky AB, which has expanded its reach both domestically and internationally. The distillery boasts a unique production capacity, utilizing small 30-liter casks for maturation, which accelerates the aging process and enhances the whisky's flavor profile. Mackmyra's whiskies are characterized by their fruity and sweet notes, complemented by spices, oak, and a subtle hint of peat smoke.
