Knockdhu

Nestled in the village of Knock in Banffshire, Knockdhu Distillery has been a cornerstone of Scottish whisky craftsmanship since it opened its doors in 1894. Founded by John Morrison, the distillery was established as part of the strategic expansion of the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) during the late 19th century. Today, Knockdhu is owned by Inver House Distillers Limited and continues to operate as an active, working distillery with over 125 years of uninterrupted heritage. Knockdhu produces a non-chill-filtered Highland single malt Scotch whisky, marketed under the brand name anCnoc — a nod to the Gaelic name of the surrounding area. This careful production approach preserves the natural character and complexity of the spirit, setting it apart from many of its peers. The distillery is located near Huntly in Aberdeenshire and benefits from the pristine natural environment of the Scottish Highlands. The anCnoc range has earned a strong reputation among whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike, with expressions such as the anCnoc 1998 vintage released in March 2012 garnering considerable attention. The distillery is increasingly regarded as a rising star in the world of Scotch whisky, with its casks attracting growing interest from investors and collectors.
