Kingsbarns Distillery is located in the picturesque Lowland region of Scotland, having been founded in 2014 by Douglas Clement and William Wemyss. The distillery is currently owned by Kingsbarns Distillery and has quickly established a reputation in the whisky community despite its relative youth. The founders aimed to create a distillery that reflects the rich heritage of Scotch whisky while bringing a modern twist to traditional methods. With an annual production capacity of 300,000 liters, Kingsbarns employs a two-ton mashtun for its mashing process. The distillery's whisky character is defined by a fruity and sweet profile, complemented by subtle spices. On the nose, one can expect notes of fresh fruit, leading to a palate that balances sweetness with a hint of spice, and finishes with a blend of fruit, nuts, oak, and lingering spices. Among its notable expressions are the Kingsbarns Distillery Reserve and the Dream to Dram series, which highlight the distillery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
