Invergordon

Invergordon Distillery is located in the Highland region of Scotland, established in 1960. Founded by a consortium of investors, it has been under the ownership of Whyte & Mackay Ltd since its inception. The distillery is notable for being one of the most northern grain whisky distilleries in the country, contributing to the rich tapestry of Scottish whisky production with its unique location and history. With an impressive annual production capacity of 40 million liters, Invergordon primarily focuses on grain whisky, using grains such as wheat and corn. The distillery employs modern equipment for its production, which results in whiskies characterized by sweet and fruity notes, complemented by herbal and nutty undertones. The flavor profile is rounded out with spices and a hint of sherry on the finish. Notable expressions include the Invergordon 31 Years - 1987 Sweet Sycamore Sap and Invergordon 16 Years - 2007 PX Cask, showcasing the distillery's ability to produce aged whiskies that appeal to a wide range of palates.
