Glenkinchie distillery is located in the Lowland region of Scotland, just a short distance from Edinburgh. Founded in 1825, it has a rich history and is currently owned by Diageo. The distillery was operational until 1969 and has since become a significant player in the world of single malts, often referred to as the 'Edinburgh Malt' due to its proximity to the capital. With an annual production capacity of 550,000 liters, Glenkinchie utilizes traditional methods in its whisky production. The mashtun has a capacity of 9 tons, allowing for substantial batches. The whisky is characterized by a delicate balance of malt sweetness, fruitiness, and herbal notes, complemented by hints of vanilla.
