Annandale

Annandale Distillery is located in the Lowland region of Scotland, near the town of Annan. It was originally founded in 1830 by George Donald but faced various ownership changes over the years. After closing in 1924, the distillery remained dormant until 2007 when David Thomson and Teresa Church acquired the site with the aim of reviving its whisky production. The distillery officially reopened on November 15, 2014, marking a new chapter in its long history. With a production capacity that allows for the crafting of both blended and single malt whiskies, Annandale Distillery employs traditional methods alongside modern technology. The distillery features a combination of classic pot stills and innovative equipment to ensure quality and consistency. The flavour profile of Annandale whiskies is characterized by sweet notes of fruit, vanilla, and spices, complemented by a distinct peat smoke. Notable expressions from their range include the 2017 Man O' Swords Founders Selection and the Rascally Liquor Peated New Miniatur, showcasing the diverse offerings from this revitalized distillery.
