Aberfeldy

Located in the heart of the Highland region of Scotland, Aberfeldy Distillery was founded in 1896 by the prominent whisky maker John Dewar. The distillery is currently owned by Bacardi and remains operational, continuing a legacy of quality whisky production. Aberfeldy is situated near the River Tay, which provides a vital water source for the distillation process, contributing to the whisky's distinctive character. With an annual production capacity of approximately 3,400,000 liters, Aberfeldy employs a 7-ton mashtun in its production process. The distillery is known for its smooth and rounded whiskies that exhibit a sweet and fruity profile with notes of honey and a hint of spices. The finish is characterized by sweetness, spices, oak, and lingering fruitiness. Notable expressions include the 15-year-old Cadillac Wine cask finish and the 18-year-old Napa Valley cask finish, both of which showcase the versatility and quality of Aberfeldy whiskies. Visitors to the distillery can explore its rich history and sample its renowned offerings at the Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery, located in Aberfeldy, Perthshire. For visitor inquiries, the distillery can be reached at +44 (0)1887-822000.
