Wyoming Whiskey was founded in 2006 by fourth-generation cattle ranchers Brad and Kate Mead, along with David DeFazio, in Kirby, Wyoming. As the state's first legal distillery, the operation didn't begin producing whiskey until 2009, giving the founders time to establish their vision for a truly Wyoming-rooted spirit. In 2018, Wyoming Whiskey joined the prestigious Edrington portfolio as part of its Partnership Brands business unit, marking a significant milestone for this Western craft producer. Wyoming Whiskey is dedicated to crafting super-premium bourbon that reflects the terroir and finest ingredients the state has to offer. The distillery's portfolio, developed over more than a decade, includes expressions such as Small Batch Bourbon, Double Cask Bourbon, and Outryder, each showcasing the distinctive character shaped by Wyoming's climate and landscape. Master blender Brendan Cook plays a central role in defining the distillery's signature style, blending craft tradition with a deep connection to the land. Wyoming Whiskey's roots in generational ranching give the brand an authentic Western identity that sets it apart in the American bourbon landscape. The brand's philosophy β that place matters in whiskey-making β has earned it recognition as a pioneer of Western bourbon with genuine terroir-driven character.
