Uberach is a French single malt whisky produced at the Bertrand Distillery, located in the village of Uberach in the Alsace region of northeastern France. The distillery, situated at 3 rue du Maréchal Leclerc in Uberach, is one of the pioneering producers of French artisan whisky, drawing on the rich agricultural and distilling traditions of Alsace — a region long celebrated for its fruit spirits and eaux-de-vie. The spirit is sourced from the Hepp distillery in Uberach, with locally grown barley also playing a central role in production. Entrepreneur Aymeric Roborel de Climens has brought his extensive experience in the wine industry to the selection process, carefully choosing casks and expressions that reflect both the terroir of Alsace and a refined artisanal approach. The Uberach range includes expressions such as the Alsace Single Malt at 42.2% ABV and the RTT Single Malt at 44.1% ABV, available in both 70cl and 35cl formats. Uberach represents the growing movement of quality French single malt whisky, combining local ingredients with craft distilling expertise. The brand is an excellent example of how France's deeply rooted distilling culture, particularly in Alsace, translates beautifully into world-class whisky production.
