Titanic Distillers is Belfast's first working distillery in nearly 100 years, bringing whiskey production back to the city that was once a proud centre of Irish distilling. Founded by Belfast businessmen Peter Lavery, Richard Irwin, and Stephen Symington, the distillery is located at the historic Thompson Dock and Titanic Pump-House in the heart of Belfast's Titanic Quarter. Production officially began in August 2023, marking a significant milestone in Northern Ireland's whiskey renaissance. The distillery launched its Premium Irish Whiskey into the market in 2021, ahead of full distillery operations, quickly securing distribution in key Belfast venues such as Bittles Bar and The Duke of York. Titanic Irish Whiskey holds the distinction of being the first whiskey brand to emanate from Belfast in close to a century, crafted in collaboration with the Belfast Distillery Company. The range reflects the proud heritage and craftsmanship of Northern Irish distilling traditions. Titanic Distillers has attracted significant commercial interest, securing a Β£5 million equity investment from Whiterock in 2025 to expand its team and reach new international markets. The brand has also signed an All-Ireland distribution deal with United Wines, cementing its position as one of the most exciting emerging distilleries in Northern Ireland's flourishing whiskey scene.
