Strathclyde is a grain whisky distillery located in Glasgow, Scotland, making it one of the city's most prominent whisky-producing establishments. Originally built as a neutral grain spirit distillery for the purpose of producing gin, Strathclyde has evolved over the decades to become Glasgow's most successful grain distillery. Since 1975, the distillery has focused exclusively on grain whisky production, cementing its place as a key player in Scotland's Lowland whisky landscape. As part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio, Strathclyde's grain whisky primarily serves as a vital component in blended Scotch whiskies, feeding into some of the industry's most well-known blends. The distillery is recognised as one of six active grain distilleries in the Lowland region, alongside Cameronbridge, Girvan, North British, Invergordon, and Starlaw. While its output is largely destined for blending, independent bottlers such as James Eadie and Douglas Laing have released notable single grain expressions, including aged bottlings that showcase the distillery's character. Strathclyde's whisky has earned considerable prestige through its inclusion in exceptional blends. In 2011, Royal Salute Tribute to Honour — a blend containing 50-year-old Strathclyde whisky — was launched at £150,000 per bottle, underscoring the remarkable quality and depth that this Glasgow grain distillery is capable of producing.
