Ruadh Maor is not a standalone distillery but the peated expression of The Glenturret Distillery, one of Scotland's oldest distilleries located in Crieff, Perthshire, in the Highland region. Introduced in 2009, Ruadh Maor — a Scottish Gaelic name meaning 'Red Steward' — was created to complement Glenturret's traditional unpeated single malt range, offering whisky lovers a smokier side of this historic distillery.
