Penderyn Llandudno is one of three distilleries operated by Penderyn, the pioneering force behind the modern Welsh whisky revival. Opened to the public on 1 June 2021, the Llandudno distillery celebrated the 20th anniversary of the rebirth of the Welsh whisky industry. Located on Lloyd Street in the shadow of the Great Orme on the North Wales coast, it represents Penderyn's expansion beyond its original home in the Brecon Beacons National Park, alongside a third distillery in Swansea. Together, Penderyn has grown into an international force with distribution reaching more than 50 countries, and has been recognised as the world's fastest-growing World Whisky. The Llandudno distillery has already made its mark with the launch of Serpent's Tears by Penderyn in July 2025 — the first peated single malt produced at this site and the first peated Welsh whisky in 125 years. This lightly peated, fruity single malt highlights the distillery's ambition to craft distinctive North Wales expressions.
