Old Parr is a blended Scotch whisky with a storied history stretching back more than 150 years. The brand was founded by brothers James and Samuel Greenlees, who were committed to crafting the finest blended Scotch whisky. Named after Thomas Parr β a legendary English figure reputed to have lived to the extraordinary age of 152 β the brand embodies a spirit of longevity and character. Originally launched in the late 19th century, Old Parr has been in distribution in various parts of the world since 1919. The brand was renamed "Grand Old Parr" in 1941 and eventually became part of the portfolio of DCL's successor, the global spirits giant Diageo. Old Parr is produced in Scotland using select malt whiskies, resulting in a smooth and refined blended Scotch. Diageo positions it within its 'Local Stars' portfolio, reflecting its strong regional loyalty, particularly in Latin America, where the brand has a multigenerational following. The core range includes a 12 Year Old and an 18 Year Old expression. The Old Parr Superior 18 Year Old was first launched in 1989 and was made a permanent addition to the portfolio, celebrating the brand's reputation for smoothness and depth of flavour.
