Normindia Barrel Aged is not a whisky brand, but a gin produced in Normandy, France, by the Domaine du Coquerel family. Launched in 2015, the original Normindia Gin was created by Pierre, representing the third generation of this family estate. The Barrel Aged expression is crafted in a copper pot still — the same still used to distill Calvados Coquerel — giving it a distinctive artisanal character rooted in the apple-growing traditions of the Norman countryside. Unlike the classic Normindia Gin, which is distilled in column stills, the Barrel Aged version is matured for six months in old Calvados barrels. This aging process lends the gin warm, fruity, and oak-influenced notes that set it apart from more conventional styles. More than 15 botanical ingredients were used in its creation, contributing to a complex and layered flavor profile at 44.1% ABV. Normindia Barrel Aged represents a creative meeting point between gin craft and the Calvados heritage of Normandy. It is not available through WhiskyCircle, as it falls outside the whisky category.
