Milk & Honey (M&H) is Israel's first and largest single malt whisky distillery, founded in 2013 by Gal Kalkshtein in Tel Aviv. The distillery was established under the guidance of the late Dr. Jim Swan, one of the most respected whisky consultants in the industry. What began as an idea among a group of friends has grown into a trailblazing operation that put Israeli whisky firmly on the global map. Operating in the hot Mediterranean climate of Tel Aviv, Milk & Honey produces superior single malt spirits that mature at an accelerated pace compared to traditional Scottish distilleries. The distillery has released a range of expressions, including an acclaimed Sherry Cask bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV, alongside an experimental series that showcases the team's innovative approach to whisky making. In 2023, their Sherry Cask expression was named the World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards — a remarkable achievement for any distillery, let alone one so young. The distillery has also been named Craft Distillery of the Year by Whisky Magazine Awards, cementing its status as one of the most exciting whisky producers in the world.
