Mars Whisky operates two distilleries: the Shinshu distillery in the Japanese Alps of Nagano prefecture, and the Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima. Together, these two production sites provide Mars Maltage with a unique range of malt and grain whiskies drawn from contrasting climates and terroirs across Japan. The Mars Maltage range is known for its refined blending philosophy, combining carefully selected malt and grain whiskies into elegant expressions that showcase the diversity of Mars Whisky's distilleries. Among its most celebrated releases is the Cosmo series — a line of pure malt vatted whiskies using single malt from the Nagano distillery, with expressions such as the Cosmo Manzanilla Cask Finish showcasing innovative wood maturation.
