Longrow is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky produced at the legendary Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, once known as the "Whisky Capital of the World." The brand takes its name from the old Longrow distillery that once stood adjacent to Springbank, a nod to Campbeltown's rich and storied distilling heritage dating back to 1828. Today, Longrow is crafted by J & A Mitchell, the independent family company that also owns and operates Springbank. First distilled in 1973 as an experimental batch, Longrow is double distilled and uses heavily peated malt, setting it apart from its stablemates at Springbank. This results in a robust, smoky character that stands in striking contrast to the more complex, lightly peated Springbank style. The Longrow range includes several expressions, such as Longrow CV, which showcases the brand's ability to balance deep peat smoke with rich, layered flavours drawn from a variety of cask types. Longrow has built a devoted following among peat lovers who appreciate its distinctly Campbeltown character — briny, earthy, and full-bodied. Produced at one of Scotland's most independent and traditionally minded distilleries, Longrow represents a compelling chapter in the revival of Campbeltown as a celebrated whisky region.
