Longmorn Distillery was founded in 1894 by the adventurous John Duff, a pioneering figure in the Scotch whisky world who also played a role in establishing GlenDronach and BenRiach. Built during the golden age of industry in the heart of Speyside, the distillery was so ambitious in its vision that it even had its own private railway to transport its whisky. For well over a century, Longmorn has been distilling ceaselessly, accumulating more than 130 years of whisky-making expertise. Longmorn has long been revered within the whisky industry, though it only became widely available as a single malt following the launch of a 15-year-old expression in 1993. The distillery is known for crafting rich, complex, and elegant Speyside single malts that reflect both heritage and ambition. Its portfolio includes high-aged expressions such as the 18-Year-Old, the 22-Year-Old, and the recently launched 30-Year-Old — the oldest release in the distillery's history — each showcasing the depth and refinement that Longmorn is celebrated for. With a pioneering spirit traceable back to the very roots of single malt Scotch whisky, Longmorn has earned its reputation as one of the great names in Speyside. The launch of its 30-Year-Old marks a new chapter for this storied distillery, reinforcing its standing as a producer of truly exceptional aged whisky.
