Lambay Irish Whiskey is a unique collaboration between two storied families: the Baring family, long-time owners of Lambay Island off the coast of Dublin, and the House of Camus, a fifth-generation French cognac dynasty. Together, they founded the Lambay Irish Whiskey Company, combining centuries of Irish whiskey-making tradition with deep expertise in French cognac blending and maturation. The brand was conceived by Alexander Baring and Cyril Camus, and has since grown into a globally recognised label, now sold in over 30 countries worldwide. As an independent bottler and blender, Lambay Irish Whiskey offers a portfolio shaped by a distinctly Franco-Irish philosophy. The whiskeys are finished in Cognac casks sourced from the House of Camus, lending the expressions a rich, fruit-forward character that sets them apart from more traditional Irish bottlings. The range includes both blended and single malt expressions, with occasional limited releases such as cask strength single malts that further showcase the brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Since its launch, Lambay has earned over 20 awards, cementing its reputation as one of the more innovative and distinguished names in the modern Irish whiskey renaissance. With Camus Holdings having invested significantly in the brand, Lambay continues to expand its presence in both domestic and travel retail markets around the world.
