Kilchoman Casado is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky from Kilchoman Distillery, a farm distillery located on Islay, Scotland. Taking its name from the Portuguese word for 'marriage', Casado reflects the heart of this expression: a union of different cask influences that results in a uniquely layered whisky. Released as an Autumn Limited Edition in 2022, it quickly attracted attention from enthusiasts seeking something beyond the distillery's core range. Casado begins its life in 38 first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being finished in massive Portuguese red wine vats from the Casado wine estate. This combination of American oak and Portuguese red wine influence gives the whisky a distinctive character, balancing Kilchoman's signature Islay peat with the rich, fruity sweetness of the wine casks.
