Inchmurrin

Inchmurrin is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced at Loch Lomond distillery, located in Alexandria, Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1966 and has grown to become one of Scotland's most versatile whisky-making facilities, capable of producing a remarkable range of different malt styles under one roof. The first bottlings of Inchmurrin appeared in the late 1980s during the ownership of Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse, initially released as 10- and 12-year-old expressions. Inchmurrin is one of several distinct single malt styles crafted at Loch Lomond, alongside expressions such as Inchmoan, Old Rosdhu, Craiglodge, Croftengea, Glen Douglas, and others — reflecting the distillery's exceptional ability to produce multiple whisky characters from a single site. Inchmurrin itself is known as an approachable, unpeated Highland style, with the 12-year-old being its most recognized bottling. The name is taken from Inchmurrin Island, the largest freshwater island in the British Isles, located in Loch Lomond. Following a complete brand refresh by Loch Lomond Whiskies, the Inchmurrin 12 Year Old was brought under the broader Loch Lomond Whiskies umbrella, forming a core part of the restructured portfolio alongside the peated Inchmoan 12 Year Old. Despite these changes, Inchmurrin continues to represent the lighter, more delicate side of the Loch Lomond range.
