Golden Moon Distillery was founded in 2008 by husband-and-wife team Stephen Gould and Karen Knight in Golden, Colorado. The story behind the distillery, however, reaches back to the 1980s, when Stephen spent time in rural Louisiana with family during the holidays — an experience that would eventually inspire his passion for craft distilling. Stephen Gould serves as Proprietor and Master Distiller, bringing a hands-on, artisanal philosophy to every spirit produced at the distillery. Golden Moon crafts its spirits by hand in Colorado, producing a varied portfolio that includes whiskies, gins, and other spirits sold across various major markets. The distillery is known for its meticulous, craft-forward approach, drawing on historical distilling traditions to shape its range of products. Their spirits are enjoyed neat or in cocktails, reflecting a versatile and premium quality. Over the years, Golden Moon has grown from a small startup into one of Colorado's most recognized craft distilleries, earning recognition as one of the best distilleries in Denver.
