Glengoyne is a Highland single malt distillery located in Dumgoyne, a small village nestled in the Campsie Fells, just a 30-minute drive north of Glasgow. Founded in 1833 by local farmer George Connell under the name Burnfoot, the distillery later took on the evocative name Glengoyne, meaning 'Glen of the Wild Geese'. It holds the distinction of being the most southerly distillery in the Scottish Highlands — so close to the Highland Line that its warehouses actually sit in the Lowlands. Glengoyne is celebrated for its unhurried approach to whisky-making, most notably its use of slow distillation and unpeated, air-dried malt.
