Eden Mill is an independent Scottish distillery established in 2012 on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St Andrews, Fife. It made history as the first distillery to produce spirits in the region in over 150 years, reviving a long-dormant distilling tradition in this iconic Scottish town. The distillery combines both brewing and distilling under one roof, reflecting a modern, craft-driven approach to spirits production. Eden Mill is known for producing both gin and single malt Scotch whisky, with a strong emphasis on quality ingredients and thoughtful cask selection. The distillery sources Golden Promise barley grown by Francis Cuthbert, owner of the celebrated Daftmill Distillery, and matures its whisky in a variety of casks including ex-Oloroso, American oak, and French oak. In 2024, Eden Mill launched a new single cask series, with the first release matured exclusively in an ex-Pedro Ximénez cask, showcasing the distillery's commitment to exploring diverse flavour profiles. Backed by investment from Inverlieth LLP secured in 2022, Eden Mill has continued to push forward with the development of its single malt programme. With a contemporary new distillery in the works, Eden Mill is firmly establishing itself as one of Scotland's most exciting independent producers.
