Echlinville

Echlinville Distillery is a landmark in Irish whiskey history, located among the rolling drumlins of the Ards Peninsula in County Down, Northern Ireland. Founded in 2012 and distilling its first spirit in 2013, it became the first distillery in Northern Ireland to be granted its own licence in more than 125 years — a significant milestone for the region's whiskey heritage. It also holds the distinction of being Ireland's first field-to-glass distillery, sourcing its grain directly from the surrounding farmland. Echlinville is perhaps best known for reviving the iconic Dunville's Irish whiskey brand, a historic Belfast distillery that had long ceased production. With the aim of restoring Dunville's to its former glory, Echlinville has steadily built an award-winning portfolio of whiskeys. More recently, the distillery expanded its range further by welcoming the historic Matt D'Arcy Irish Whiskey brand into its portfolio, continuing its mission to breathe new life into cherished Irish whiskey traditions. With a deep respect for Northern Irish whiskey heritage and a commitment to grain-to-glass craftsmanship, Echlinville has positioned itself as a pioneering force in the modern Irish whiskey renaissance, earning recognition both at home and internationally.
