The Dalmore is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, situated in the small town of Alness, approximately 35 minutes north of Inverness. In 1867, Matheson transferred the leasing rights to the Mackenzie family, who would go on to shape the distillery's identity for generations.
