Bimmerle is a family-owned private distillery based in Achern-Mösbach in the Black Forest region of Germany. Founded in 1966 by Günther Bimmerle Sr., a skilled cask maker with a deep passion for the fruity spirits for which the Black Forest is traditionally known, the distillery has grown into one of Germany's notable craft spirit producers. Today, both the first and second generations of the Bimmerle family remain actively involved in the company, preserving its artisanal heritage while embracing modern techniques. Bimmerle has developed a growing portfolio of whisky expressions, most notably under the Evermann Black Forest Whisky label — named after two fictional brothers, Wilhelm and Theo Evermann, from the Black Forest. The distillery places strong emphasis on barrel management, exploring different cask types and storage conditions to shape the character of its whisky's. Alongside whisky, Bimmerle produces a range of fruit spirits and other distillates that reflect the Black Forest's long distilling tradition. Bimmerle Private Distillery was recognised at the prestigious IWSC (International Wine & Spirits Competition) in 2020, cementing its reputation as one of Germany's quality-driven craft distilleries. The company has also expanded its commercial reach by founding Black Pan Drinks as a dedicated sales company, and by taking on the distribution of international brands such as Label 5 Classic Black Scotch whisky in Germany.
